We would like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and give a brief outline of our involvement in motor sport.
It all started back in '92 when we competed in Autocross driving a 1973 Corolla on a dirt track. This proved to be a very successful entry to motor sports as Debbie took out both the female and 'male' championships.
This led to Peter building a street machine version of a '73 Corolla which became quite well known as 'Jap-attack' at the Canberra Summernats. In our first competitive meeting Deb was placed first in the Go-To-Whoa. We returned the following year, but were narrowly defeated.
We decided that we wanted to be more competitive and with a car that the crowd would get behind so in '96 we purchased a Camaro and retired the Corolla.
With our Satin Black paint work and a freshly built 454 cu. inch tunnel-rammed engine we went on to achieve a great success in a fairly short time.
THE FUTURE
The car's current configuration is a 1968 Rally Sport Camaro with a 502 cu.inch Chevy Big block with a 671 GM Supercharger. The motor is linked to a two speed power glide transmission driving a Ford 9" diff. This package produces in excess of 600 B.H.P. at the wheels. In Burnout competition the rear wheel speed is in excess of 100 M.P.H. and destroys new tyres in less than 2.5 minutes.
Building on our past successes we entered the 2001 season with a bolder and more marketable image, including a stronger 4-link differential, reworked interior, more horsepower and new gleaming paint and wheels.
This sees us in an unusual position of being in the forefront of an exiting and developing spectator sport which until recently has been totally male dominated. This, combined with our friendly and approachable outlook toward both spectators and competitors will provide excellent and unique promotional opportunities.
